We have been hearing rumors for a while that Apple may one day release a MacBook with a built in data modem, the company already has a number of patents relating to modems inside their MacBook notebooks, and now they have been awarded another one.

The most recent patent granted to Apple relates to a 4G antenna which is built into a Macbook, you can see a photo below which shows where it would be located.

We have no idea when Apple intends to release a MacBook with a built in data connection, lets hope it is sooner rather than later as it is a feature many MacBook pro 2012 users would find useful.

I was given a task by AsusPH to build a cheapo computer worth (50php) around $1000+ as part of my last challenge as a contestant in ASUS Philippines Race to Computex where i can win a trip to Taiwan, and be part of the Computex Convention. Anyway, I decided to create a computer build that is cheaper yet with identical features as with the new iMac – built for gamers, multimedia purposes, and for other computing needs. My first thought was just to buy an Asus EEPC, a LED Monitor, an Xbox 360, and PS3 but i have to abide with the rules and use their mock up pricelist. Anyway, here are the parts that i selected and so far so good i was able to build an i5 PC with a medium-hardcore graphics card, and lots of goodies. Check it out!

The most recent Apple iMac had its last major re-design way back in 2009. As per the guys over at Apple Insider, the iMac 2012 will get a fresh design, and  will also come with anti reflective displays. According to the report, the iMac 2012 range will feature a considerably thinner design than the previous model, and will also be Apple’s first desktop computers to come with anti glare displays. As of now, there are no details on what else we will see with the new iMac 2012’s, although we suspect they will come with Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge processors, and some of the latest graphics cards. We will keep you posted as soon as we get more information about this upcoming device as well as the iMac 2012 release date!

The MacBook Pro 2012 released date has not been announced, but if you need to revamp or revitalize your MacBook Air or Pro, these funky rainbow keyboard decals might be for you. These are made from ultra-high resolution pictures which are then printed on transparent vinyl MPI material from Avery Graphics. It promises to be residue-free for 3-5 years. The Macbook Air And Pro Rainbow Keyboard Decals are now available over at Etsy at the Noisy Boy Store for $16. We have featured quite a few iPad accessories here in MyMacBookPro, and the latest is the SnapFuse iPad Smart Cover Clips. The new iPad AKA the iPad 3 has been launched a week ago, and since then a slew of new cases designed for the newtablet have started to become available. We have heard lots of rumors for a while that th MacBook Pro 2012 range will feature an ultra thin design, which is similar to that of Apple’s MacBook Air. The most recent rumor that we heard is about the new MacBook Pro 2012 release date, and it would be available some time this March or April. Now, according to a recent report by Digitimes, they have apparently gone into production.

“Production for the next-generation MacBook Pro has already begun with shipments to Apple kicking off in March, the sources noted. Monthly shipments will eventually climb to 900,000 units from the 100,000-150,000 units targeted initially, the sources said.”

The MacBook Pro 2012 range is rumored to be ultr thing and will come with the Intel’s new Ivy Bridge processor. We’ll keep you posted about this, and we will let you know more as soon as we get some more information.

Here we go again! Just like other iOS devices, the new iPad AKA the iPad 3 seems to be setting up a new World record. The iPad 3 will go on sale next Friday and all pre-orders for launch day have now bee a sold out. As per Apple, the Apple’s new iPad AKA the iPad 3 is ‘off the chart’s, which proves that it is more popular that the iPad 2 was at launch.

“Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased,” Apple said in a statement. “Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date.”

We suspect that it is going to be the same story for the Macbook Pro 2012. What do you think?

Words With Friends Macbook Game, is probably the most popular multiplayer Word game for iOS devices. It is also available on Android, Kindle Fire, Nook Tablet and now Facebook. We expect something revolutionary

I can still remember the day when Steve Jobs (RIP) said that their MacBook Air is the future of laptops. But i guess he was right because of the fact that Apple has completely redefine the term “computer” and what is it all about. The brand destroyed lots of old technologies with the Air by incorporating an industrial design to create an awesome machine. It’s pretty obvious that they will continue this trend with their upcoming MacBook Pro. yes, we have seen the new iPad AKA the iPad 3, but for the many the new MacBook Pro 2012 is really the first real test for the new Apple executive team.  I am not putting any pressure to the Apple team, but they need to make a statement on their new Macbook Pro 2012.

Macbook Pro 2012 Faster Processor

According to our research, The new MacBook Pro 2012 will make use of Ivy Bridge, an Intel processor that features a 22-nanometer architecture with 3D transistors. For sure this will boost up the system and will provide a heck of a difference over the current MacBooks. As per Intel, this Ivy Bridge will provide 20% more power compared to Sandy Bridged laptops. Ivy Bridge is said to be better when it comes to graphics performance as it provides 30% more boost in integrated graphics category.

No hard drives on Macbook Pro 2012

Say goodbye to the hard drives with the new Macbook Pro. This will surely improve its battery life since we all know the negative impact of HDDs on battery life. Apple and we all love SSD, and though it is not the cheapest, it still is the fastest and the most efficient storage technology for any mobile devices. It is really expected that the Macbook Pro 2012 emplys SSD, as it will improve and makes it more appealing since HDDs are kind of out of date. SSDs are not just all about power efficiency but also for speed. In fact, for most Apple consumers, prefer to pay more rather than getting something that mediocre.

Macbook Pro 2012 says No to legacy

The new MacBook Pro 2012 says no to legacy. This means that there will be no optical drives, and no FireWire and ethernet. This will now make use of Thunderbolt and USB ports, along with an SD memory card reader which is just like the MacBook Air. This will remove the clutter design and simplify it all up! Let’s face it, optical drives are really out of date. I can’t even remember the last time i have used it. I use online for everything and most users these days shifted to digital downloads for software distribution. For me, and maybe for Apple, the optical drive is dead. Same goes to Ethernet port, “when was the last time you used it? It was so 2000 and late. There are lots of Thunderbolt adapters at this time, for FireWire, Gigabit Ethernet, and other PC Cards.

Macbook Pro 2012 will employ a Retina-ish display

Like the new iPad or the iPad 3, the Macbook Pro 2012 is expected to have an HD Retina-ish display. We do hope that Apple moves on to HiDPI. They have done this on their new iPad so it’s without a doubt that they will be doing the same thing on the new Macbook Pros. They have managed to double the resolutions to 2880 by 1800 pixels and even increase the resolution to 180 or 200ppi, and i don’t know if they can do better with the new Macbook Pro’s display. I don’t think there’s something to expect more when it comes to the device’s display. Having a retina display is just enough for me.

Macbook Pro 2012′s Killer graphics

A lot are expecting to see AMD Radeon graphics on the new Macbook Pro but many people would like to see a high end, mobile 28nm graphics processor engine. This sounds familiar, it is the Radeon HD 7700m? Yeah, this would be awesome and i would like to get a graphics card with 2GB of GDDR5 memory. Just so you know, there are news also that Apple will shift to Nvidia. Not sure if this is legit, but if Apple goes to Nvidia, we will see Macbook Pros with Nvidia GeForce GTX 675M with 2GB DDR5.

Macbook Pro 2012′s Redesigned Enclosure

The device’s enclosure for me is going to be a deal breaker for sure. It will be a selling point factor of these new MacBooks. It is expected that the new Macbook Pro 2012 will feature a super-slim wedge form factor. Perhaps more so than Apple’s Macbook Air, given that the brand will have the largest surface to spread the device’s components. The upcoming device needs to be more lightweight compared to other machines out there, thanks to the saving achieved by removing all the clutter.

Improved on Macbook Pro 2012′s Battery capacity

Given the fact that we get everything that we expect from Apple on this new Macbook. They should also not forget the device’s battery life. Everything will be put to waste if they will fail on this category. What we want is some insane battery life. It is reasonable to expect more and we really want something that can run for an entire work day on a single full battery charge.
All of these things are expected from Apple, and if the brand can pull something like this, this will be perfect and i will agree with Cook’s statement that “Yes We Can Kick Ass Without Steve“. I wonder when’s the Macbook Pro 2012 release date?
